Welcome to my vintage Swistraw flowered world!

I’ve always loved those little vintage tidbits that are gone but not quite forgotten. Growing up in Texas I wanted to put my own spin on things. I wore cowboy boots (always second hand and usually spray painted), went to the prom but in a thrifted ball gown. I’m the friend you want to sit next to at the party for a few laughs, a little gossip, a fun cocktail and yes, I probably have a snack in my bag. I’ve pretty much always believed that more is definitely more.

My love of mid century flair with a little campy wink eventually led me to vintage Swistraw. The colors! The shine! The history! I knew I had to give it my own twist. That is how Ruby Buffalo was born.

I started weaving my Swistraw flowers (so many flowers) on a vintage flower loom and they just kept blooming. Each one is made by hand, full of bold color and style. Who knew there could be so many ways you can enjoy a pretty perfectly woven Swistraw flower? When you see a Ruby Buffalo flower you know it has a colorful history but is also ready for a right now moment.
